The Kidde Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Detector, model 30CUDR-V, offers the next level of fire safety. This AA battery-powered smoke and CO detector features enhanced sensing technology that reduces false alarms often caused by cooking, providing fast alerts to give your family more time to evacuate safely.

Utilizing an electrochemical sensor, the alarm detects the presence of carbon monoxide. Designed with a modern 5-inch profile, this combination smoke and CO alarm is suitable for various living spaces, including living rooms, hallways, kitchens, and bedrooms. Voice alerts clearly announce "Fire!" or "Warning Carbon Monoxide!" to quickly identify the hazard detected.

Comprehensively tested and designed to meet the latest UL standards for safety and reliability, the 5-inch alarm is powered by 2 replaceable AA alkaline batteries (included) for continuous detection, even during power outages. Batteries should be replaced every 6 months or when the low battery chirp sounds.

The self-testing alarm features easy installation with the included twist-and-click mounting bracket. It meets the requirements of UL 217 9th Edition, UL 2034 4th Edition, and FCC standards, but does not meet CSFM requirements.

Providing 2-in-1 detection, this cost-effective alarm alerts you to both smoke and carbon monoxide using a single detector. The enhanced sensing technology helps reduce false smoke alarms often caused by cooking, ensuring reliable performance.

No wiring is required, as the alarm operates on the included 2 AA alkaline batteries, enabling simple installation. Simply mount the bracket to the ceiling and twist and click the 5-inch smoke and CO alarm into place.

The voice alerts offer crystal-clear announcements of "Fire!" when smoke is detected or "Warning! Carbon Monoxide!" if CO is present, allowing you to react quickly to the hazard.

Internally, the self-testing components ensure the alarm is always operating as expected. However, a manual push test should be performed weekly to verify alarm operation. Three LED notifications indicate the alarm's status: green for normal operation, amber for an operating error, and red for smoke or carbon monoxide detection, accompanied by a loud 85-decibel alarm.

The test and hush button make it easy to test the 5-inch combination detector and silence any false alarms. Additionally, the alarm comes with a 10-year limited warranty, which begins when the alarm is powered on. If the activation date is unknown, the alarm should be replaced.
